Overview

Laramide’s conventional hard-rock asset La Sal in Utah, United States, is a small scale proposed underground mining project with permits in hand to commence a bulk sample program, which is on hold until uranium market conditions improve. The La Sal Project is a sandstone-hosted roll front uranium deposit. The La Sal Project is located approximately 60 miles from Energy Fuels’ White Mesa Mill in Blanding, Utah (one of only three permitted mills in the United States, and the only one operational).
The Project’s previous operator Homestake Mining Company (a subsidiary of Barrick Gold Corporation) completed a positive feasibility study on the project in 1978 and was ready to place the project into production when the price of uranium collapsed and the project was shut down.
Homestake completed mineral resource estimates for La Sal when it held the property. These estimates were not conducted in accordance with the requirements of NI 43-101/JORC and would require validation drilling to update into NI 43-101/JORC compliant status.
