Officers

Marc Henderson, President, Chief Executive Officer & Director

Marc Henderson is a chartered financial analyst with more than 20 years at the helm of public mineral exploration companies. He has been President and Chief Executive Officer of Laramide Resources Ltd. from 1995 to present. Mr. Henderson is the former CEO and President of Aquiline Resources Inc., sold in 2009 to Pan American Silver Corp., and former President of MineFinders. Mr. Henderson holds an economics degree from the University of Colorado.

 

Bryn Jones, Chief Operating Officer, MMinEng

Bryn Jones is an industrial Chemist and a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (AusIMM) with 17 years of experience in the Australian uranium industry covering all aspects of the mining cycle. As Managing Director of Uranium Equities, Bryn managed and financed the PhosEnergy development from concept to feasibility study level, which is being jointly developed by Cameco Corp. Bryn started his career in several technical and operational management roles at Heathgate Resources, the operator of the Beverley uranium mine in South Australia and has been involved in all aspects of ISR project development from feasibility and permitting to rehabilitation. He has also worked on several other hard rock and ISR uranium projects including Olympic Dam and Honeymoon.  Having consulted to the IAEA on ISR and unconventional uranium recovery Bryn is considered an expert in these fields and holds a Master’s degree in Mining Engineering.

 

Greg Ferron, Vice President of Corporate Development and Investor Relations

As Vice President of Corporate Development and Investor Relations, Greg Ferron brings 15 years of capital markets experience including corporate finance, business development and investor relations within the mining sector. Mr. Ferron joined Laramide Resources Ltd. in 2011. Prior to joining, Mr. Ferron held various positions, including as a member of the stock list committee and heading the Global Business Development for the mining sector, at the Toronto Stock Exchange and the TSX Venture Exchange. Prior to that, Mr. Ferron was an Analyst at Scotiabank. Mr. Ferron holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Guelph. He is also Vice President Corporate Development at Treasury Metals Inc.

 

Dennis Gibson, Chief Financial Officer

Dennis Gibson has been the Chief Financial Officer of Laramide Resources Ltd. since 2006. Mr. Gibson is also the Chief Financial Officer of Treasury Metals Inc. Mr. Gibson has held various senior financial positions for the past 30 years. He is the former Chief Financial Officer of Aquiline Resources Ltd. (2006-2009), which was acquired by Pan American Silver Corp. and Forrester Metals Inc., which was acquired by Zinc One Inc. Mr. Gibson is a CPA, CGA and holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Concordia University.

 

Chris Irwin, Corporate Secretary

Chris Irwin practices securities and corporate/commercial law and has been the managing partner of Irwin Lowy LLP since January 2010; prior thereto he was the President of Irwin Professional Corporation from August 2006 to December 2009; and prior thereto he was an associate at Wildeboer Dellelce LLP from January 2004 to July 2006. Mr. Irwin advises a number of public companies, board of directors and independent committees on a variety of issues. Mr. Irwin is a director and/or officer of a number of public companies. Mr. Irwin is a former Director of Trelawney Mining and Exploration Inc., a company acquired by IAMGOLD Corporation in a $608 million transaction; former Director of Southern Star Resources Inc., which was formerly listed on TSX prior to becoming Gold Eagle Mines Ltd. and being taken over by Goldcorp Inc. in a $1.5 billion transaction.

John Booth, Chairman of the Board

John Booth is the non-executive Chairman of the Board and is a member of the Audit, Compensation and Nominating & Governance Committees. Mr. Booth is a qualified lawyer (Ontario, NY & DC) and has worked for more than 25 years in the international capital markets as an investment banker, broker, strategist, fund manager and senior executive at firms including Merrill Lynch International, ICAP, CEDEF, ABN AMRO Bank, CIBC, the World Bank and Climate Change Capital. Until 2016, Mr. Booth was the Chairman & CEO of Midpoint Holdings Ltd., an online peer to peer Foreign Exchange matching service he co-founded and listed. From 2004 until 2012 he was also a partner with JAS Financial Products LLP, a U.K.-based alternative asset manager.  He is chairman and/or non-executive director of several other private and public listed companies active in natural resources, financial services and technology.  Mr. Booth holds a BSc. (Hons) in Biology and Environmental Science from the University of Guelph, LLB & JD from the joint International Law program at the Universities of Windsor and Detroit and a Masters in International Finance, Tax and Environmental Law (LLM) from King’s College London. Mr. Booth currently resides in London, U.K.

Scott Patterson, Director

Scott Patterson is a Director and is a member of the Audit (Chairperson), Compensation and Nominating & Governance Committees. Mr. Patterson is the President and CEO of FirstService Corporation where he has held several senior positions since he joined FirstService in early 1995. Mr. Patterson was formerly an investment banker at Loewen, Ondaatje, McCutheon Ltd., and prior to that he was at Bankers Trust. Mr. Patterson is a Chartered Accountant and began his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers.

 

Paul Wilkens, Director

Paul Wilkens is a Director and is a member of the Audit, Compensation (Chairperson) and Nominating & Governance (Chairperson) Committees. Mr. Wilkens holds an MBA from the University of Rochester and a Master of Science in Nuclear Engineering. Mr. Wilkens brings to the Company more than 30 years of experience with Rochester Gas and Electric (RG&E) where he served as President as well as in several other senior positions during his tenure. While at RG&E, Mr. Wilkens provided direction and leadership to the company’s electric generation, including the RE Ginna and Nine Mile 2 nuclear power plants. While under his leadership, Ginna received commendations from the Nuclear Regulatory Commission for its engineering organization and from the Institute of Nuclear Power Operations for top performance.
