Laramide Releases Further Drilling Results and Prepares for a Second Diamond Drilling Program on its Westmoreland Project

Laramide Resources Ltd. (TSX:  LAM)  is pleased to announce further results from its 100% owned Westmoreland project located in northwest Queensland, Australia. These drilling results include 29 metres @ 0.18% U3O8 from drill hole WDD08-058, and 21 metres @ 0.15% U3O8 from drill hole WDD08-062. Both of these holes were drilled into the western part of the Garee Lens which forms part of the Redtree Zone. A total of 19 drill holes are reported from the Redtree Zone. A further 10 holes are reported from the Junnagunna zone which occurs 7 km northeast of Redtree. From this drilling, the best result was 33 metres @ 0.11% U3O8 from JDD08-012.

Peter Mullens, VP Exploration stated, “The results continue to confirm our belief in the technical merits of the project. The strong results from drill holes WDD08-058, 062, and 068 were particularly important, as all of these holes intersected the Garee Lens on the western side of the Redtree Dyke. This mineralization had not been recognized previously as belonging to the thicker higher grade Garee Lens. This opens up possibilities of expanding the overall resource on the western side of the Redtree Dyke where historically, the thinner Jack Lens has dominated.”

All 29 drill holes were drilled with either NQ or HQ core.

Field geological crews are currently returning to camp and making site preparations to commence the second phase of drilling for 2008. Drilling is expected to commence with two diamond drill rigs in the second week of September 2008. This program will consist of around 4,000 metres of diamond drilling and will focus on drilling out the Jack Lens which forms the western part of the Redtree Zone and on extending the recently identified Western Garee Lens. Work will also commence on an environmental base line study and drilling will be completed for hydrology investigations.

Laramide has implemented a quality control program at Westmoreland to ensure best practices.

Under the guidelines of the National Instrument 43-101, the Qualified Person for the Westmoreland Uranium Project is Mr. Peter Mullens, who is a member of the Australian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy. Mr. Mullens has reviewed and approved the technical content of this release.
